Sometimes it’s difficult to understand how greatly the Lord has blessed those of us in the United States. We are prone to take our freedoms, health, and money for granted. The concept of having expendable income is new to the past two generations. Many of our parents had very little income that went beyond necessities, and yet many of today’s generation assume that possessing a smart phone, smart watch, high-end computer, tablet, Alexa, or latest video game is the norm. Many are learning how to earn and spend, but few learn how to save and give.

The Bible informs us, “One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:24-25).

 

And yet there are those who have little. Consider the homeless, the poor in our cities, and the poor throughout the world. Some of us are generous in giving to feed the hungry and clothe those who are homeless and freezing during our harsh winters. We give to meet the physical needs of people, but often fail to recognize the spiritual needs of people throughout the world who would love to have just a small portion of God’s Word their own language. Many others have a written language, but cannot afford Bibles or Christian literature to help them in their walk with Christ.

 

RYM is committed to meet the spiritual needs of those who are not only poor in spirit, but also financially poor and cannot afford to purchase God’s Word, Christian literature, or a viewing device to watch videos focused on Bible teaching. We believe that God has called us to be a conduit to meet such needs, but we need Financial Partners who have the same passion and vision to provide the tools and literature that will help believers grow in their walk with the Lord.
